CSU Interlibrary Technology and Research Task Force
The Technology and Research Task Force is responsible for monitoring new
developments in ILL technologies, gathering information and making recommendations
to the CSU ILL Steering Committee. Technology includes but is not limited to
software, hardware, and any other electronic innovation that could be applied to
CSU ILL procedures. Research is the collection and review of background, history
and facts that would allow the committee to support their recommendations.
Recommendations
- Identify means to maintain communication links between CSU ILL units.
- Identify and recommend technical support and equipment standards for all CSU ILL units.
- Review current software/hardware and compare to available software/hardware;
evaluate options. (e.g. Ariel vs. Prospero or other means of electronic transfer of scanned pages.)
Membership
The Technology and Research Task Force is comprised of a minimum of three (3) volunteers
from the CSU Interlibrary Loan Departments, with one (1) liaison from the ILL Steering
Committee. Each Task Force member must also have respect for the different CSU campus
missions, cultures, and needs; each member should be flexible, adaptable, and willing to
take risks.

A minimum of one (1) conference call per month. Other communication may be conducted via email,
and the CSU ILL listserv.
