Tricor Shipping Guidelines

(Provided unofficially by Jo Ann Bradley, CCH)

Generally, pack material into the bags to withstand some rough tossing and tumbling. The bag may be at the bottom of a large and heavy pile of bags. It may be stepped on and a few have been run over.

  • Return bags, even empty, on the next pick up. Empty bags should be zipped but not tied shut.

  • Your labels should be only those with your account number on them. All other labels should be flipped and returned with the "owner's" bag.

  • Secure bags with a plastic tie. When pulling the tie closed, leave a two-finger opening, so that the receiving end can easily open with scissors.

  • Each book should have one rubber band around it. This secures them from coming open and having pages bent or torn.

  • Articles should be placed in another envelope. We recycle 9 X 12 envelopes. Never place an article inside a book.

  • Audio-visual, fragile and special materials - pad and place in a box before putting into the Tricor bags.
