HOW TO USE THE DATABASE
The Library Communication Center is an easy to use resource which offers the most commonly needed connections within the CSU library community. Users have the option of selecting personnel CSU-wide who are involved in a given curriculum area, interest group or are members of a specific library. Once the user has selected from the choices Core Curriculum, Interest Group, Non-Core Curriculum or Library on the left-hand side of the screen they will then be prompted to further refine their search. After making their selections the system will display all of the members who meet your search criteria including their name, title, phone number, email, address and provide you the opportunity to send them e-mail.
Each appointed campus administrator for the Library Communication Center will need to enter all of their personnel into the system, the first time. These records can then be modified as a person’s responsibilities or title or email address change. It will be the responsibility of each administrator to ensure that their campus directory information is up-to-date. This is accomplished by clicking on the Admin Login prompt to the left of the screen, entering the Username and Password that you’ve been assigned and finally, entering the information on the Add a Staff Member screen.
To send messages within the system you merely select the appropriate personnel and then click in the Send Message box to select the users with whom you’d like to correspond. The system will then open a Send Message window into which you can enter your message.
