John Gumas

John Gumas is the president of Gumas Advertising, a San Francisco-based, full-service strategic marketing and advertising agency. A veteran of the advertising and marketing industry, Gumas founded Gumas Advertising in 1984. Today, the award-winning firm serves a host of regional, national and international clients.

Gumas currently sits on many boards, including chairman of the San Francisco Giants Community Fund, the San Francisco Chamber of Commerce, the Greater San Francisco Ad Club, the Tumbleweed Boys Ranch and the Elios Society.

In addition, Gumas has been an adjunct professor of advertising and marketing, a regular columnist for numerous publications, an author, and a frequent speaker. Born and raised in San Francisco, Gumas graduated from San Francisco State University in 1983 with a bachelor’s degree in marketing and advertising.
