Alumni Advocates of the Year
Kristin Crellin California State University, Fullerton
Kristin Crellin is executive director of school and community relations for the
Orange County Teachers Federal Credit Union (OCTFCU), the largest credit
union in the nation to serve educators exclusively. She has been with OCTFCU
for 19 years and is the key spokesperson within the educational community.
Crellin is responsible for managing OCTFCU’s community relations programs.
This includes the Orange County Department of Education’s Teachers of the
Year, Academic Pentathlon programs, coordinating principal for a day events
and job shadow programs for students in Orange County. She is also executive
director of the Education Foundation for Orange County Schools, a mentor for
the HOST program at Olive Elementary School in Orange, and serves on the
board of directors for the Mt. San Antonio College Foundation and Santa Ana
College Foundation, as well as the Learning for Life Steering Committee. She is
active in community programs including UCI Honor a Teacher, Junior Achievement
and The Children’s Miracle Network.
She serves on the Cal State University Fullerton Alumni Association board,
CSUF Guardian Scholar Advisory Board and the CSUF College of Education
Leadership Council, and represents CSUF on the CSU statewide Alumni
Council. She earned her BA from CSU Fullerton in 1995.
