Alumni Advocates of the Year
Carol R. Chandler California State University, Fresno
Carol R. Chandler has been a member of the CSU Board of Trustees since 2004.
A former San Joaquin Valley teacher as well as owner and operator of Chandler
Farms, Chandler has been a tremendous advocate for her alma mater and is a
life member of the Fresno State Alumni Association. She was appointed by
Governor Pete Wilson to the California Postsecondary Education Commission
and served on the University of California Board of Regents. She is also past
board member of the Fresno State Alumni Association.
Chandler has served as president of California Women for Agriculture, and is
currently on the board for the Western Growers Association. She was honored
as one of the California State Legislature’s Women of the Year in 1992 and 2002.
Chandler has provided invaluable assistance to Fresno State, and is committed
to education and to the continuing health of the agricultural industry in
California. Chandler received her bachelor’s degree from the University of
California, Davis and a master’s degree from Fresno State. |
