Julio Cardona California State University, Monterey Bay
Julio Cardona currently serves as the assistant dean of graduate studies at
the University of California, Santa Cruz, where he previously was director of
graduate recruitment and retention. Prior to that, he served in various student
and academic affairs positions at CSU Monterey Bay and Johnson & Wales
University. Most recently, Cardona was a director of school programs for the
Office of the President at Stanford University.
In 2007, he was elected vice president of the CSU Monterey Bay Alumni
Association, and is currently serving as the chair of the Nomination and
Scholarship Committees. Notably, Cardona is the first second-generation
CSU Monterey Bay alumnus; his mother was a member of the first graduating
class of CSUMB of 1997. Cardona has also taught at CSU Monterey Bay as a
lecturer for the First Year Seminar program since 2006.
He earned a BA in human communication from CSU Monterey Bay (2003) and
an MA in education from Stanford University (2004). |
