After reviewing the course offerings, meet with your academic advisor to discuss how courses taken abroad will apply toward your CSU degree requirements. You may find that you’ll be able to earn some credits toward your major, and others toward your minor or your general education requirements. Remember, all credit earned on IP is CSU resident credit.
Your Campus Coordinator will provide you with additional information about the online application. Complete your application by February 1. You will be interviewed on campus, and the committee’s recommendation will be forwarded to the central Office of International Programs. A statewide committee makes final recommendations, and you will be notified of the results in early April.
If you meet the eligibility requirements, have relevant academic objectives, and exhibit the maturity and adaptability needed to profit from a year overseas, you have a good chance of acceptance. You increase your chances to the extent that you exceed the minimum requirements.
