Taiwan: Overview

The city of Taipei is the capital of the Republic of China and a growing metropolis of more than 2.7 million people. It is the principal economic and cultural center of the country. Combining the strengths of the Chinese culture brought to Taiwan from the mainland and a vital and complex indigenous culture, Taiwan offers academic and cultural riches to the casual visitor and to the serious student alike.

Host Institutions:

• National Taiwan University: Most CSU students will attend NTU.
  
  
• National Tsing Hua University: Only superior students in the sciences who have near-native fluency in Mandarin Chinese may apply to National Tsing Hua University.
