All IP students will attend an orientation program for newly arriving international students at their host university. The orientation program is designed to help students become familiar with the academic programs and resources available to them on campus, as well as to learn more about the local community. The orientation will be organized and provided by the staff at the host university.
Students are encouraged to get involved in campus life in South Africa. There will be organized student activities as well as opportunities to join groups and clubs based on personal interest.
Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University (NMMU) will make a housing reservation for all IP participants to live in accredited off-campus housing near the university. Costs for these accommodations are included in your IP Program Costs. Accommodation information can be found on the NMMU website at: http://www.nmmu.ac.za/default.asp?id=8352&bhcp=1.
