The Tec uses the most modern technology and promotes critical thinking, teamwork, and problem-solving. Students can expect to find differences in the teaching style of faculty, and in the structure of courses compared to what they are used to at home. IP students must be prepared to adapt.
The Tec arranges a number of field trips to local areas of interest to help students learn about the culture and history of Mexico. Students are also encouraged to participate in the student life of the campus through sports and special interest groups in order to make the acquaintance of Mexican students.
Upon arrival, CSU students stay in temporary host family accommodations prearranged by the Tec for 15 days. During this time, students search for permanent housing for the academic year. The staff at the Tec will provide students with information about housing options, which include apartments, host families and residence halls.
