Japan: Academic Programs
Host Institution
Students enroll in the One-Year Study Abroad Program at the School of International Liberal Studies
of Waseda University. Approximately half of their course load consists of Japanese language instruction.
It is taught at several levels and is taken throughout the year. In addition, there are Japanese Language
Elective Courses that may offer sections on Kanji, oral/aural development, politeness expression and reading.
Lecture courses complete the students' academic programs. Courses offered include the following, but
