Cal

in the western United States for the past 12 years.
Cal Poly provides hands-on opportunities for students,
especially those studying agriculture, biological sciences,
architecture and engineering. Students are encouraged to

Annual spending related to Cal Poly San Luis Obispo in the
Central Coast region ($457 million) generates a total impact
of almost $772 million on the regional economy. This impact
sustains 13,000 jobs in the region, and generates almost
$44 million per year in tax revenue. Even greater—more
than $1 billion of the earnings by alumni from Cal Poly
San Luis Obispo are attributable to their CSU degrees.

at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo is the fourth largest undergraduate
agriculture program in the nation, and has the nation’s
