CSU Monterey Bay’s annual impact on the Central Coast region
is enormous.
Annual spending related to CSU Monterey Bay in the Central
Coast region ($102 million) generates a total impact of
almost $180 million on the regional economy. This impact
sustains 3,300 jobs in the region, and generates more than
$10 million per year in tax revenue. Even greater—nearly
$22 million of the earnings by alumni from CSU Monterey
Bay are attributable to their CSU degrees.
