Annual spending related to San Francisco State University in the Bay Area region ($567 million) generates a total impact of $989 million on the regional economy. This impact sustains more than 13,000 jobs in the region, and generates nearly $53 million per year in tax revenue. Even greater—nearly $2 billion of the earnings by alumni from San Francisco State University are attributable to their CSU degrees.
