Celebrating 20 Years of Cybersecurity Awareness Month

National Cyber Security Awareness Month

Cybersecurity Awareness Month, also known as National Cyber Security Awareness Month (NCSAM), is an annual campaign to raise awareness about the importance of cybersecurity and promote good cybersecurity practices among individuals, businesses, and organizations. It typically takes place during the month of October. Cybersecurity Awareness Month is important in building a more secure digital environment by promoting a culture of cybersecurity awareness, responsibility, and vigilance for all members of the CSU community.

The primary goal of Cybersecurity Awareness Month is to educate and inform the CSU community about the various threats that exist in the digital world, such as cyberattacks, data breaches, identity theft, phishing, malware, and more. The campaign aims to empower individuals and organizations with the knowledge and tools they need to protect their digital assets, personal information, and online privacy.

Throughout the month of October, many CSU campuses will host events that include guest speakers, fairs, and webinars to help the CSU community better understand cybersecurity risks and adopt safer online behaviors. We invite you to join us for a month of interactive, engaging, and fun activities to boost your cybersecurity knowledge and skills. Be sure to check back regularly for new announcements!
