· Promote closer ties between the administration of the
Multiple Subject Credential Program (UCTE) and Liberal Studies Program
(College of Liberal Arts) with the purpose of improving the advising and
earlier induction into the teaching profession.

Facilitate improving the University image of Teacher Education
among Arts and Science Faculty
· Discuss issue with Multiple Subject Credentialing Program

in California, the status of Liberal Studies (its place in the CLA and role as
a pipeline to UCTE, the lack of resources and faculty associated
with the 400+ students, i.e., its status as a second-class major).
