CSU Administrative Policy
The Integrated California State University Administrative Manual (ICSUAM) was created to respond to the need for an efficient and effective means of providing clear, concise, yet comprehensive guidance to California State University management and staff regarding business and financial affairs. This guidance is intended to assist administrators so that they may better serve the students and faculty of the University and provide a framework to assure strict accountability over University resources.
In order for policy to be effective it must be reduced to writing and subjected to periodic but thorough review and modification. ICSUAM has been established to accomplish this purpose. Additionally, it has been designed to be a resource for policy related guidelines, principles, and practices as well as a link to related legal and regulatory references. Each policy has been assigned a Chancellor's Office owner along with one or more subject matter experts. Policies are further linked to system-wide advisory and technical affinity groups.
The ICSUAM is established by the Executive Vice Chancellor and Chief Financial Officer and maintained to be consistent with responsibilities and delegations under the CSU Trustees and the Chancellor.
