Non-Industrial Disability (NDI) |
The CSU funds a Non-industrial Disability Insurance (NDI) plan that
pays up to $250 ($125 for Unit 6) per week for a maximum of 26 weeks to
eligible employees who are unable to work because of a non-work-related
disability (including maternity).
There is a 7-day waiting period unless hospitalized. This plan is in lieu of
State Disability Insurance (SDI) benefits and is administered by the
California Employee Development Department (EDD).
