If the pay scales designation is M, S, C or E, Item 126 must be M, S, C or E.

126-05  EE CBID MUST EQUAL THE PAYSCALES CB ID (R01-C09).

If the pay scales designation is an R, Item 126 must be ’R’ or ’C’ or ’98’.
