About HR-ISA

The Human Resources - Information Support and Analysis (HR-ISA) unit of the CSU, Chancellor's Office is part of Systemwide Human Resources Management. We are located in Sacramento, California.

We developed and maintain the Campus Information Retrieval System (CIRS) which is the systemwide data warehouse for Human Resource information. We have a large monthly production of reports and files not only for the CIRS Compendium, but for outside agencies, as well. Our office provides hotline support for CIRS users at all CSU campuses, the Chancellor's Office, and the State Controller's Office.

In addition to CIRS HR-ISA serves as a liaison to the Personnel Payroll Services Division of the State Controller's Office on its personnel and payroll systems. Related responsibilities include implementation of collective bargaining agreements and system enhancements. We also respond to requests for systemwide data that can't be satisfied through CIRS.

In conjunction with Human Resources Management, we maintain the PIMS Manual and the Pay Scales file. We are considered the owners of the Pay Scales file.

In July 2000, we were the proud recipients of the Chancellor's Office COSTAR award in recognition of our commitment to service, positive attitude and willingness to "go the extra mile".
