  • Increases for other eligible employees on leave (non-pay status) are to be keyed by the campus via a GEN Transaction, effective the date of the employee’s return to pay status.

Additional Information:

  • All eligible employees who are active or on leave in Unit 3 as of 07/01/2010 and active as of the September pay period will receive the GSI via GEN Transaction.
  • Eligible employees hired on or after the beginning of the September pay period and before the mass update, will have the GSI applied to their salary by processing a correct to the appointment and any subsequent transactions. Eligible Unit 3 employees may include employees who are newly appointed to the campus in the September 2010 pay period and were active or on leave in Unit 3 on July 1, 2010 at another campus.
  • This SCO mass update program will not process GSIs for eligible employees whose appointment expiration date is prior to the September pay period. In order to assist campuses in identifying these employees, CIRS Compendium Report H50, Cycle 1009 and tab-delimited file H80, cycle 1009 will be available the day following the mass update for campus reference.
  • The SCO will manually process GSIs for eligible employees who have a plus salary rate. The SCO will apply the GSI to the employee’s full salary (base salary + plus salary) with the remainder over the new salary range maximum put into the red circle/plus salary (PIMS Item 815).
  • Employees who are not eligible for the GSI, but who fall below the new Pay Scale range minimum should have their salary increased to the new minimum. An employee may not have a pay rate lower than the range minimum. The campus is responsible for adjusting the assigned salary rate via the CRO, as appropriate. CIRS Compendium Report X67, cycle 1009 will be available via the F1 Express Function the day following the mass update to assist campuses with identifying those who fall below the new salary range minimum.
  • Employees who are not eligible for the GSI and who are no longer at their salary range maximum, the campus is responsible for adjusting their Anniversary date as appropriate. CIRS Compendium Report X68, cycle 1009 will be available via the F1 Express Function the day following the mass update to assist campuses with identifying employees who are no longer at the salary range maximum.
