CSU/UAW Tentative Agreement

The CSU is pleased to announce that we have reached a tentative agreement with the United Auto Workers (UAW) for a successor Collective Bargaining Agreement for Bargaining Unit 11. The UAW is the union that represents our 10,000 plus Teaching Associates, Graduate Assistants, and Instructional Student Assistants systemwide.  The UAW will now hold a ratification vote over the next few weeks and, if ratified by the union, the tentative agreement will be put on the agenda of the Collective Bargaining Committee for a ratification vote at the November Board of Trustees meeting. The current agreement will be extended until that date.

A full copy of the tentative agreement is in the process of being prepared and will be posted online. The main terms of the agreement are that the CSU and UAW agree that there will be no change to the status quo on fee waiver for the life of the agreement. On salary, the parties agreed that TA’s and GA’s will receive a 3% General Salary Increase for FY 2016/2017, and a 2% General Salary Increase for FY 2017/2018. ISA’s will receive a $0.25 per hour increase in each year.  TA and GA salary minimums will be increased by 3% in both years. ISA salary range minimums will also be increased by $0.50 in each year of the agreement.
