The Board of Trustees of the California State University and/or the Chancellor have been granted permission by several sources to delegate specific authority and responsibility to various positions within the CSU. These sources include, but are not limited to, California Education Code, Title 5 of the California Code of Regulations, and the Standing Orders of the Board of Trustees of the California State University. The delegation recipients, e.g., campus presidents, may be granted additional rights to sub-delegate. Employees who occupy the positions in receipt of delegated authority are responsible for assuring conformity and adherence with such authority.
The purpose of this web site is to provide campuses with links to current delegations of authority, a summary of the delegations, supporting documents, and policy and legal references, relating to Systemwide Human Resource issues and programs. This web site also provides links to underlying historical authority and documents, where applicable.
