HOSPITALITY MANAGEMENT

» Academic Journals

Academic journals publish valuable research by experts in a variety of academic disciplines, including hospitality management. Scholars and leaders in the field strive to understand and explain new trends. Journals provide hospitality students and leaders with reliable information about technology, business trends, and best practices.

While many journals provide free on-line access to abstracts (summaries) of their articles, most require a subscription to view the full text. Many libraries subscribe to database services that make selected journal articles available on line to their patrons. The California State University libraries subscribe to a wide variety of journals for use by students.

A few selected journals that focus on hospitality include:

  • Benchmarks in Hospitality & Tourism, published by Hawthorne Press, Inc.
  • International Journal of Hospitality & Tourism Administration, published by Routledge, an imprint of the Taylor & Francis Group
  • Journal of Culinary Science and Technology, published by Taylor & Francis
