CSU San Marcos
Highlights
The Cal State San Marcos Library houses the Barahona Center for the Study of
Books in Spanish for Children and Adolescents, the only collection of its kind
in the world. The center collects all books in Spanish for children and teens
published worldwide since 1989 and all books in English about Hispanic/Latino
cultures (for children and teens) published in the U.S. since 1989. The Hansen
Curriculum Room is a collection of K-12 curriculum resources that are used mainly
by students preparing to be teachers in the CSU San Marcos College of Education.
Most of the materials in the collection have been purchased through an endowment
fund received by the College of Education.
