The Graduate Experience
California State University, Fullerton offers outstanding opportunities for both working professionals and full-time students to achieve their goals through a graduate education. Currently, more than 4,200 graduate students can choose from 50 fields of study, including three online master's programs and a joint doctorate in educational administration. An additional 1,200 students pursue teaching credentials through a full range of state-approved credential programs.

With full accreditation for its overall program, many of CSU Fullerton's graduate programs have achieved national prominence because of a highly regarded faculty and the achievements of alumni. Distinguished programs include those in business administration, American studies, health sciences, chemistry and biochemistry, computer science, nursing, and psychology, as well as music and theatre arts. A Doctor of Education (EdD) in Educational Leadership is planned for fall 2007, pending CSU approval and WASC accreditation.

Student Success
Highlights include:

  • MBA student teams have placed in the national top ten 14 of the past 15 years in the Small Business Institute Case of the Year competition for their in-depth consulting projects for Orange County businesses.
  • The College of Education maintains a strong presence in local school districts with 12 on-site master's degree cohorts and plans to offer a doctorate in education beginning in fall 2007.
  • The American Studies master's program is one of the largest master's-only programs in the country and attracts students worldwide.
  • Student productions in the MFA in Theatre Arts program have won 12 Kennedy Center honors in national competitions since 2001.
  • CSUF-Kaiser Permanente's MS in Nurse Anesthetist program was ranked in the top ten "Best Anesthesia Schools" in U.S. News and World Report.
  • The kinesiology master's degree is the first graduate program in the nation to be certified by the National Strength and Conditioning Association and includes a nationally recognized track studying physical mobility issues among seniors.

Fullerton Campus
CSU Fullerton is a major regional university in a vital, flourishing area that includes Orange County, metropolitan Los Angeles, and the expanding Inland Empire. The beautiful, 236-acre campus is located in north Orange County. With more than 35,000 students and nearly 2,000 faculty members, the vibrant university community reflects the rich multicultural diversity of Southern California. Graduate classes also are offered at the Irvine Branch Campus and at satellite locations. In January 2006, the university unveiled its new $48 million Performing Arts Center.
