The Graduate Experience
California State University, Fullerton offers outstanding opportunities for both working professionals and full-time students to achieve their goals through a graduate education. Currently, more than 4,400 graduate students can choose from 52 fields of study, including eight online master's programs in education, technology, and computer science, and two doctorates. An additional 1,200 students pursue teaching credentials through a full range of state-approved credential programs.

Many of CSU Fullerton's graduate programs have achieved national prominence because of a highly regarded faculty and the achievements of alumni. Distinguished programs include those in business administration, American studies, health sciences, chemistry and biochemistry, computer science, nursing, and psychology, as well as music and theatre arts. CSU Fullerton offers a Doctor of Education and a Doctor of Nursing Practice.

Student Success
Highlights include:

  • Mihaylo College MBA student teams have been the national champions in the Small Business Institute Case of the Year competition nine times, and placed in the top-ten 14 times for their in-depth consulting projects for Orange County area business.
  • The College of Education has strong partnerships with school districts and community colleges throughout the region, and offers 12 on-site and seven online master's degree programs, the latter ranked 24th in the nation for online graduate degrees in education by US News and World Report.
  • The American Studies master's program is one of the largest master's-only programs in the country and attracts students worldwide.
  • Students in the MFA in Theatre Arts program have won numerous Kennedy Center honors both at regional and national competitions since 2001.
  • US News and World Report (2012) named CSU Fullerton-Kaiser Permanente's MS in Nurse Anesthesia among the "Best Anesthesia Schools" and CSU Fullerton's MS in Nurse Midwifery as among the "Best Midwifery Schools."
  • Students in the online MS in Software Engineering prepare for the increasingly sophisticated application of software engineering techniques and tools to the software development process; they participate in faculty grant-funded projects and collaborate on projects with industrial partners.

Fullerton Campus
CSU Fullerton is a major regional university in a vital, flourishing area that includes Orange County, metropolitan Los Angeles, and the expanding Inland Empire. The beautiful, 236-acre campus is located in north Orange County. With more than 35,000 students and nearly 2,000 faculty members, the vibrant university community reflects the rich multicultural diversity of Southern California. Graduate classes also are offered at the Irvine Branch Campus and at satellite locations. In January 2006, the university unveiled its new $48 million Performing Arts Center, followed two years later by the $89 million College of Business and Economics.
