Nadá M. Moeiny

Nadá M. Moeiny joined the California State University Office of General Counsel in February 2016. She is currently University Counsel for California State University Sonoma. She previously served in a similar role at Maritime Academy and California State University, Stanislaus. In addition to her responsibilities as University Counsel, Ms. Moeiny also serves as a member of the Academic & Student Affairs team and as an Office of General Counsel resource attorney for Student Discipline and Title IX/DHR. Prior to joining the Office of General Counsel, Ms. Moeiny served as Associate General Counsel at Pepperdine University, a mid-sized private university in Malibu, CA, and Claims Counsel at United Educators, an insurance company in Bethesda, MD that insures over 1,300 educational institutions in the United States. Prior to her positions at Pepperdine University and United Educators, she was a labor and employment Associate at Schmeltzer, Aptaker & Shepard, P.C. (now Saul Ewing LLP) in Washington, D.C.
