Committee on Finance
- The California State University Board of Trustees will hold a board meeting on June 18 to consider an increase for the 2010-2011 State University fee. The board is also expected to consider a fee increase for Graduate Business professional programs, as well as Education Doctorate fees.
- The board will hear an analysis of the 2010-2011 support budget, which indicates that increased fee revenues (net of financial aid) of at least $100 million are needed under a wide range of possible budget outcomes. The Assembly budget committee has advanced a proposal to provide additional state revenues as a partial replacement of fee revenues, in order for the university to limit its 2010-2011 fee increase to five percent rather than 10 percent.
Additional action items that Trustees will vote on include:
- A proposed increase of 10 percent to the CSU education doctorate program fee.
- The proposed elimination of the annual cap on nonresident tuition.
