The Trustee Emeritus Ali C. Razi
Recognition for the Top-Scoring Recipient of the CSU Trustees’ Award for Outstanding Achievement
In 2006, Dr. Ali C. Razi, trustee emeritus, endowed a scholarship fund to recognize the top-scoring recipient of the CSU Trustees’ Award for Outstanding Achievement. This extraordinary individual is named a Trustee Emeritus Ali C. Razi Scholar and receives a $12,000 scholarship.
Razi is credited with sustaining the CSU Trustees’ Award; when funding for the program was tenuous, he stepped up and inspired others to do the same. Razi continues to serve as chair of the CSU Trustees’ Award Selection Committee and as a member of the California State University Foundation Board of Governors.
Razi is president of the Stratham Group, a real estate investment and development firm. He serves as vice chairman of the Midnight Mission and chairman of the Farhang Foundation. In 2011, he was a recipient of the Ellis Island Medal of Honor.
In 2002, Razi received an Honorary Doctorate in Humane Letters from California State University, San Bernardino for his contributions to higher education. He served as a member of the Board of Trustees of the California State University from 1996-2001.
