Kylie Nguyen graduated in May with a BA in human services from CSU Fullerton. She returned to her alma mater this fall to pursue a master's degree in social work. Kylie's undergraduate achievements include working on a research team to produce the "13th Annual Report on the Conditions of Children in Orange County"; being a book reviewer for Dr. Gerald Corey's 8th edition of Theory and Practice of Counseling and Psychotherapy; being a National Science Foundation participant in the 2006 Research Experiences for Undergraduates program; and completing a research study, which she presented at the Florida Mental Health Institute and the University of California, Berkeley. Kylie's on- and off-campus involvements have included being a project director at the Volunteer & Service Center, president of the Vietnamese Catholic Student Association, co-chair of Community Services for the Human Services Student Association and a volunteer at a homeless shelter. Kylie's ultimate goal is to work with children who carry deep pathological wounds due to neglect and abuse.
