Murray L. Galinson is chairman of the board of San Diego National Bank. He serves on the boards of Price Charities, Price/Legacy Corp., Price Smart, Inc., the San Diego Jewish Community Foundation, the Weingart Foundation of Los Angeles, the Jewish Funders Network, First Dental Health Co., and the Galinson Family Foundation. He is a member of the Galinson Group of La Jolla, California.

Prior to joining San Diego National Bank, Dr. Galinson served as a professor at California Western School of Law. He also served as the director of administration for the national Mondale/Ferraro Campaign, and as an assistant U.S. attorney for the Southern District of California and the District of Minnesota. He practiced law with the firm of Mullin, Galinson, Swirnoff and Weinberg in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

In his seven-year term on the CSU Board of Trustees (2000-2007), he participated in the development of many historic initiatives for the CSU, including those that improved graduation rates, helped to better prepare high school students for college and provided greater outreach to underserved communities. During this time the CSU also gained the right to grant Ed.D. degrees. Dr. Galinson embraces the CSU's unique system and is proud of all that it accomplishes.
