Fatima Jinnah graduated from University of California, Berkeley with a major in development studies and a minor in education. As a result of her desire for social change, she volunteers and performs community service. Her background includes eight years of in-depth exposure to diverse youth populations by tutoring, mentoring and advocating for underrepresented students through community nonprofit organizations. Fatima's interest in counseling began while providing college assistance services for high school students in East Palo Alto and East San Jose, the lower socio-economic area where she was raised. She is now working on her master of science degree in counseling, specializing in career and college counseling at San Francisco State University and is currently a counselor-in-training at SFSU's Undergraduate Advising Office. Fatima combines her love of learning and adventure through travel in order to understand cultural issues first hand. Fatima prides herself on being an articulate communicator and multicultural team player.
