Financial Aid Offices on each campus will review the applications to ensure that they meet all requirements. Then, in consultation with the campus president, each campus will select and forward one nomination to the CSU Foundation.
Each nominee will be awarded a scholarship in the amount of $3,000 for the 2012-13 academic year.
The nominee(s) who best demonstrates need and merit is designated the Trustee Ali C. Razi Scholar and receives a $10,000 scholarship.
The nominee(s) who has contributed the most to his or her home or university community will be designated the Trustee Murray L. Galinson Scholar and will receive a $6,000 scholarship.
All recipients of the Hearst/Trustees' Award will be invited to attend the awards presentation at the September 2012 Board of Trustees meeting at the Chancellor's Office in Long Beach (transportation will be provided). They will then be honored at a reception following the presentation.
