The California State University (CSU) is proud to present the 2007 recipients of the William Randolph Hearst/CSU Trustees'Award for Outstanding Achievement. The CSU congratulates this year's winners whose talent, determination and drive will help build and sustain California's future.

The personal stories of these students are inspiring. They have each overcome tremendous life challenges to pursue a college degree. Yet while their commitment, drive and perseverance are extraordinary, these students are not unlike the many thousand of students who look to the CSU each year for high-quality, accessible, affordable educational opportunities. Without the CSU and scholarship programs such as the William Randolph Hearst/CSU Trustees' Award for Outstanding Achievement, many of these students would never have the chance to attend college and achieve their dreams.
