A Student Ambassador gets ready to hand out useful educational materials on the Road to College tour.
Groups of students, from one end of the state to the other, climbed aboard the Road to College bus over a five-week period in April and May, to learn about higher education.
On the bus, they turned on computers to explore CSU campuses and learn how to plan for college while in 6th-8th grade. Participating students received college information materials and the list of 15 classes they need to take in middle and high school to be eligible for admission to a CSU campus.
The bus made 46 stops and was visited by nearly 9,000 youngsters. The Road to College tour is a program of the CSU Chancellor's office, financed by AT&T.
