Campus extended and continuing education units offer a variety of credit and non-credit courses that provide functionally specific information and skills updating for professional persons. Some of the courses are offered in attenuated formats lasting from one day to a limited number of weeks. Other courses parallel the length of the academic term or semester. Most Professional Development courses have been designed in cooperation with business and industry leaders, and provide up-to-the-moment training and professional direction.
A variety of credit and non-credit certificate programs are available through campus Extended/Continuing education units. There are 460 certificate programs that are designed in cooperation with professional societies and are designed to provide either entry level knowledge and skills or professional growth and development. Most certificate programs are comprised of multiple courses, and the certificate is awarded upon successful completion of all required coursework.
