The 23 outstanding campuses of the CSU are always working for California. Through CSU Extended and Continuing Education, the CSU tracks economic and workforce indicators, meets current workforce needs and predicts future trends in such industries as healthcare, biotechnology, construction and sustainability. Because of the partnerships between CSU Extended Education and Workforce Investment Boards, over half of the campuses now participate in workforce projects supported by ARRA funding.
The CSU Extended University gives the CSU the agility and versatility to extend institutional capabilities in ways that allow each university to fulfill its broader mission in California's complex economy. California can increasingly rely on The CSU and Extended Education to draw on the fullest range of each campus's capacities to provide excellent and distinctive programs and services that support California's economic future.
