Attached is a copy of Executive Order No. 922, which authorizes San Jose State University to establish a Student Housing Deposit Fee.

In accordance with policy of the California State University, the campus president has responsibility for implementing executive orders where applicable and for maintaining the campus repository and index for all executive orders.

Student Housing Deposit Fee

This executive order is issued under the authority granted by Education Code Sections 89703, 90002, 90012, 89700, and 89035, Standing Orders of the Board of Trustees, Chapter III, Sections 1, 2 and
6-f-1, and Board of Trustees’ Resolution RFIN 03-04-00, and consonant with Executive Order Number 740.

Effective November 16, 2004, San Jose State University is authorized to establish a Category IV, Student Housing Deposit Fee of $150. The Student Housing Deposit Fee will reserve a space for on-campus housing and be applied to the student’s (or faculty/staff) housing account. In the event that return of the deposit is requested, $20 of $150 will be retained to process the check refund.

In accordance with Education Code Sections 90002 and 90074, revenues collected from fees for state campus lodging and services supported by the campus housing program shall be deposited in the State Treasury to the credit of the California State University Dormitory Revenue Fund.
