22nd CSU Biotechnology Symposium Registration and Transportation Reimbursement Information

Registration is Closed

2010 CSU Biotechnology Symposium was held Jan 8-9, 2010, at the Santa Clara Marriott

We reached capacity at this year's Biotechnology Symposium with just over 600 participants from the CSU (from 22 campuses), the California Community Colleges, workforce investment boards, industry professionals, and legislative representatives.

Transportation Reimbursements

It is time to submit travel claims to your campus fiscal representative. Campus claims are due at the CSUPERB program office by February 28, 2010!

Travel reimbursements for individuals eligible for transportation funding (see below) to the Symposium are paid out first by your campus.  CSUPERB then reimburses your campus by working directly with our fiscal contacts on your campus.  CSUPERB encourages you to work with your department and college in seeking any necessary approvals prior to your travel to the CSU Biotechnology Symposium.  Due to the state's fiscal crisis, many campuses have imposed stricter requirements for travel approvals.  In addition, some campuses have special requirements for non-campus employed students. CSU Faculty/Staff/Postdoc

CSUPERB provides transportation reimbursement to campuses up to $150 for each CSU Faculty/Staff/Postdoc who attends the symposium. This amount is in addition to lodging and meal costs covered by CSUPERB and is inclusive of any parking fees. These funds may not be used to reimburse the required $50 registration fee for attending the symposium.

CSU Students

CSUPERB provides up to $150 for transportation reimbursement for CSU students who are presenting posters at the symposium. The $150 is in addition to lodging and meal costs covered by CSUPERB and is inclusive of any parking fees. If your poster was not accepted, or you did not plan to present a poster, you are responsible for your own transportation costs (lodging and meals are provided by CSUPERB at the symposium).
