Program Description - Student Travel Grants
Request for Proposals (RFP) for the Student Travel Grants Program are issued two times a year. The Spring RFP is issued in the spring for travel between January 1 and June 30; the Fall RFP is issued in the fall for travel between July 1 and March 31.
The primary purpose of these awards is to support travel for CSU students to national and international professional meetings and workshops related to biotechnology.
Please note that CSUPERB welcomes and encourages applications from CSU students from all biotechnology related disciplines, including but not limited to biology, chemistry, math and computer science, agricultural science, engineering, and/or business departments or colleges.
CSUPERB Student Travel Grant amounts are up to $900 per student when only one student author on an abstract is requesting funding.
CSUPERB Student Travel Grant amounts are up to $1500 total, shared between two students co-authoring or presenting a single abstract.
Note: A portion of the CSUPERB budget is set aside to cover travel expenses for students presenting posters at the Annual CSU Biotechnology Symposium each January. Students requesting money for travel to the Symposium do not apply through this program. The application for that travel is handled through the Symposium Registration website that is available in September each year.
