Program Introduction

The California State University Program for Education and Research in Biotechnology (CSUPERB) Entrepreneurial Joint Venture (JV) Matching Grant Program provides support for CSU faculty engaged in external biotechnology-partnerships. CSUPERB recognizes that collaborations with partners and institutions external to the CSU broaden the opportunities for innovative biotechnology projects, promote multi-disciplinary partnerships, encourage product development and other translational and outreach activities, and should enrich California’s communities and life sciences industry.

Proposals, including signed cover sheet, must be submitted electronically on 2016 Joint Venture Grant Proposal Template (.doc) form according to submission instructions by the posted deadline in February, 2016 before 5:00 p.m. pacific time. Refer to the 2015 Joint Venture RFP and Budget Guidelines as an example of how the 2016 RFP will appear.

Post-Award Information

Principal Investigators on all funded proposals are required to comply with CSUPERB reporting requirements listed on the Report Forms page.
