Don Eden Graduate Student Research Award Recipients

The 2011 Don Eden Award winner Jason Schott, (center, CSU Fullerton), with Lisba Fowler (left, Eden Family representative) and Bianca Mothe (right, CSU San Marcos, 2011 Eden Award Selection Committee Chair) during the 23rd Annual CSU Biotechnology Symposium (Jan. 7-8, 2011). Mr. Schott won the award for the presentation of his work on the regulation of the apolipoprotein-E gene by nuclear receptors, a basic research question that has implications for the onset of Alzheimer's disease. Mr. Schott works in Dr. Nilay Patel's laboratory in the Biological Sciences department at CSU Fullerton. Eden Award finalists present posters and give short talks at the Annual Biotechnology Symposium.
