Before joining CSUPERB in April 2008, James was a grants administrator at the SDSU Research Foundation, where he gained 10 years of expertise in federal and state grants administration and regulatory issues. Previously he was a grants manager for the American Heart Association in Albuquerque. He has a degree in history from the University of New Mexico.
