The new 2010 California Building Code takes effect on January 1. It contains mandatory green building standards, structural changes and important administrative requirements that will impact each of our campus building programs. Come and learn whatís new, what has changed, and most importantly how to make sense of the new code.
CSU permitting expectations and obligations will be examined in light of these new code changes. Several individual campus topic-expert peers will relate campus best practice examples and lessons learned that illustrate real-world solutions on code approval issues. Topics will include working with CPDC, DSA, SFM and your own campus customers. The emphasis will be firmly on the practical (application of the code on your campus).
We will close with strategies on approval scheduling and updated insights on the when and how of securing exceptions and variances.
This training is targeted toward Campus Deputy Building Officials. It is also highly recommended for campus building coordinators and plant positions with capital project management responsibilities.
