SFM Special Event Approvals
Special events include concerts, firework displays, commencements and other large group activities of a temporary nature. As a fire life-safety concern campus ‘special events’ require SFM planning review and a ‘Special Event’ permit approval.
SFM Emergency Response
Local city/county fire authorities provide fire/life safety emergency response. SFM provides investigation and follow-up coordination of such services.
Campuses are required to advise SFM of all campus fires and 'explosions'.
SFM Anonymous Complaint Review
SFM investigate all fire life-safety complaints. Complaints are anonymous, by design, to foster program participation. As with Title 19 inspections CPDC requested that SFM check-in with campus Facility Planning departments for all on-campus visits in order for campuses to be able to facilitate full access and be well-informed of SFM areas of concern.
