Energy Project Implementation-A Two-Day Training

Day 1: CSU Energy Services Agreement (ESA)-Tuesday, February 12, 2008

This training program is designed for campus planners, finance officers, procurement officers, general counsel, executive deans, project managers, directors of physical plant operations, energy managers, approved ESA contractors, and staff who have been, or will be, directly or indirectly involved in the implementation of energy projects using the ESA (a contractual agreement).

The morning session will provide a general overview of the process for using the Energy Services Agreement along with specific information of review and approval steps for campus finance, general counsel, procurement staff, and your ESA contractor.  The afternoon session will cover specific steps for campuses to use the ESA: the Preliminary Assessment (PA) scope, the Investment Grade Assessment (IGA) scope, financing, CSU Design/Build Agreements, CPDC forms 1-4, 2-7E, and Board of Trustees agenda item description. 

Day 2: Renewable Energy Projects-Wednesday, February 13, 2008

This training program is designed for campus planners, finance officers, procurement officers, general counsel, executive deans, project managers, directors of plant operations, energy managers, and approved contractors who have or will be installing Renewable Energy projects on campus.

This session is designed for campus personnel who are considering or are in the process of developing plans to implement Renewable Energy Projects on their campus.  The primary focus will be on evaluating, structuring, and contracting for Photovoltaic systems.  Other renewable technologies will be showcased including fuel cells and combined heat and power systems.  The session will provide a balanced view of technology alternatives, economic evaluation and feasibility analyses including application of incentive programs, and types of deal structuring and programs available for campus participation.

Cancellation Policy:  

If you must cancel, you may do so by returning to your individual registration transaction. A cancelation fee of $20 will be assessed for cancelations for any reason. Cancelations less than 5 calendar days prior to the training will be assessed the entire registration fee. No-shows are not entitled to a refund or credit toward another training session.
