COAST Technology Centers > Climate Change Analysis

Analysis of long-term environmental data sets is critical to identifying trends and predicting changes in climate. In addition to the data collected by the CSU monitoring enterprise, there exist many long-term environmental data sets, particularly at the State and Federal levels. These data need to be transformed into easily understood informational products and decision-making tools for the use of resource managers and policy makers, many of whom do not have backgrounds in science. This Center will identify large, long-term data sets and promote collaboration among researchers to develop integrated studies of climate variation that will yield decision-making tools.
