COAST Governance
A governance structure was adopted at the COAST System-wide meeting May 1, 2009. Subsequently, representatives from each campus and marine consortia were selected, as were five Administrative Representatives. These Campus Representatives form the official decision-making body for COAST. They have official voting privileges on behalf of their campus and are responsible for communicating with campus faculty and administrators. The COAST Executive Committee works closely with the Coordinator to oversee daily operations. Additionally, Chancellor Reed appointed eight CSU Presidents to serve on the Presidents’ Council, led by Dr. Rollin Richmond. COAST's activities are guided by its Strategic Plan (.pdf, 544 KB).
