COAST Networks: Environmental Effects on Coastal Organisms (EECO)

Our ocean and coast face many environmental pressures from regional habitat alteration and pollution to global climate change and its impacts. These changes in environmental quality pose significant threats to marine and estuarine organisms and marine ecosystems in general. There is a critical need to identify and evaluate the consequences of anthropogenic environmental changes on the health and adaptability of marine and estuarine organisms.

The CSU Environmental Effects on Coastal Organisms (EECO) network brings the collective scientific expertise and resources of the CSU to stakeholders, regulators, educators and other scientists to advance our understanding of the coastal environment, increase public awareness and promote the development of well-informed public policy. Multi-investigator and multi-institutional cooperation and collaboration are strongly encouraged.
